There are a number of conditions such as Fibromyalgia which have the symptoms of many other conditions which makes diagnosis difficult. It also often results in the wrong course of treatment tackling the wrong symptoms. Our views about treating the cause rather than the symptoms are fairly well know. Treating the symptoms does not fix the problem and treating the wrong symptoms is even more worrying.
